NEWS:

7-2-09:  Planned a chase last Saturday, but called it off hours before storms fired. Glad I did. As expected, storms immediately went into linear mode. It did, however, produce some pretty nice wind gusts of around 45-70 mph in various locations. I decided to go out and shoot the shelf as it came in. I was hoping for a better looking plow, but I'll take whatever I can get. It definitely appears spring chase season '09 is over, but now my 2nd favorite part of the year begins; derecho season. These months are also much, much better for lightning opportunites. I'm crossing my fingers for some great fall setups. I didn't get my fill this spring. The chases I did go on, however, have been very good. So I guess I'll trade a few good chases for many bad ones.

Anyway, here are a few shots of the shelf from last Saturday's storm. Hardly worth its own account.

6-24-09:
Put up a quick account for a fun last minute Father's Day chase HERE. Joel bagged a tornado and has some GREAT shots that I wanted to share, so I put his account on the page too.
