Hungry yet? He didn't like my company. Usually they will just stay
there and finish their meal without being bothered, but I must have
overstepped this guy's boundaries.
Now this was cool. This bird was not phased at ALL. I actually left for
the day and on the way out saw this young eagle right off the frontage
road chowing down.
There was another photographer that got out of his vehicle, walked all
the way up to him, literally almost direcly underneath him (branch was
only about 15 feet up) and this juvenile didn't even give him a 2nd
look. I tried to get a shot with the guy and the eagle to show how
close he got, but by the time I detached the zoom and put on the wide
angle, the guy had already walked back to his car.
New day. I absolutely LOVE getting up in the morning. It doesn't matter
what it's for, I just love the morning. Bad thing is, I AM up every
morning, before the sun even comes up, but I can never enjoy it. I'm
stuck at work. I would get up early more often in the weekends, but
it's my only chance to sleep in. I had to do it once this year though.
I also wanted to beat the crowds there. I was literally the very first
car there, but that didn't last long at ALL. About 10 minutes later the
next car showed, then another, then another......about two hours later
the parking lot was filled side to side. Crazy.
Couple fisherman out close to the dam as the sun is just starting to
rise.
Seagulls were EVERYWHERE this morning. I'd say there were close to
2,000, easily. They filled the entire sky. Every second there was one
swooping down after a small fish. Even though they were just seagulls,
I've never seen anything like it.
The only bad thing with this lightning and 400mm though is it is
impossible to get a nice, clear shot without bumping the ISO up to
insane levels. Even then it was still tough to get a shot without blur.
