Well, I was debating on whether or not to even do these, but my site hasn't been updated in some time so why not. This was the first time I was seriously disappointed in the "new" zoom lens. It could have been where we were seated this time, or it could have been my lack of ability to pull off the good shots, but either way I was pretty discouraged. I need to do two more lightning accounts after this so I'll keep it short and sweet.

It was pretty windy the day I was there, but these guys still nailed their targets. The National Anthem was playing as he was gliding down, so I suppose I should have put down the camera. I already had a "few" Coors in me by this time.

The F-16. We actually saw quite a bit of this jet. I went with my brother Josh, sis-in-law Amanda and my nephew Caden. He didn't like this thing too well. Even with ear plugs, this thing was still very loud.

I now realize I have two seperate planes here. I know one is the F-16 and the other is probably the F-14. At the time I knew what they were, but now I can't think of the difference. I'm too lazy to look up pics on Google too I guess. Anyway, I liked these since you can see water vapor coming off the wings. I wanted one with the Blue Angels doing the same, but no dice.

Dave Dacy, wing walker. NO THANKS!!

Again....NO THANKS.

The Aeorshell planes. These guys were pretty cool...flying and in person.

Caden with all four of the Aeroshell pilots signatures.

Unfortunately this was the only good shot I could grab of Shockwave. In my opinion, this is the highlight of the day, but again where we were seated/standing, it was very difficult to get a clear shot at anything. Last time I sat with my buddy Steve in a tent reserved for his workplace. The view there was outstanding.

Heritage flight with the P-51 Mustang. I remember last time they had the F-14, F-16 and the Mustang. For some reason they only had the two this year. I also noticed that there weren't near as many performers as the last time I was there either. That was sort of disappointing. Oh yeah, and I cut off the wing. I'm good at doing that! Whether it be eagles or planes, you can bet I'll be cutting off a wing or two.

C-130 "Hercules" with JATO (Jet Assisted Take-Off).

JATO at work.

Shot not in focus, I know, but I still liked this shot. Imagine being an enemy and seeing this coming toward you. I would guess my time is up.

I actually pulled off a much better shot of this maneuver with the Sigma last time.
