6-2-10

Not much to write up here. Had two nights in a row with lightning, but it wasn't much.

First 5 images are June 1st.

The rest are from June 2nd. This night was at least a little more interesting.

This dinky little updraft eventually went on to drop some very heavy rains. What? An actual STORM in the Quad Cities?!?!?!

Trying it's hardest to achieve shelf status. Pure Illinois magic.

Sucks this almost fell a bit off the frame. After this one (the ONLY one that was halfway close) it really started to gain a shelfy appearance. I was hoping and praying it would put down another bolt closer to the shelf, but no dice. That should have made for a more interesting shot.

My buddy Joel was out in Erie a little before this shot and said it was an absolute deluge out there.

Positive stroke. I really wish I hadn't zoomed in on the previous two shots. That bolt is obscured by the lower clouds there. I'm kind of thinking they weren't as thick 10 minutes prior to this. That would have been sweet with the twilight colors too.

Here's a timelapse I did from June 2nd. It's just "ok". I've been experimenting a lot with timelapses lately. It has become my newest addiction.
