I stopped on a side road on the way home right underneath an updraft base of a brand new tower going up.
It was actually one of the coolest things I have ever seen. I could actually see the air being sucked in right in
front of my eyes. It KILLS me that I did not have my camera on me as I drove out from under the base and
looked up to see the tower. It was an unbelievable sight even though nothing really came from it.

Way out in Whiteside County. There were towers starting to fire everywhere, but nothing really looked too promising. |

This tower was actually pretty
cool to watch also. We could see it building very quickly, but only to get knocked back down once it reached a certain height. |

time it was obvious it was not going to do anything, so we took just a few more pics, packed up and headed home. |
