Monday, May 6th is
looking like a potentially HUGE chase day across the central plains. As
it sits now (5 days out) our target area will be somewhat close to
Greensburg, KS. Obviously it's still quite a ways out, but as of now,
this setup is looking mighty healthy.
Below is a forecast sounding for Monday.  This is as about picture perfect as you'll see. LI's are progg'd around -8, which is pretty darn good, but I would like to see those a bit higher. Dews will be mid-upper 60s which is sufficient moisture. Check out the supercell percentage...100%. I haven't seen a setup look this good in quite some time. Since it's still 5 days out, Im not going to get TOO excited about much yet, and I hope everything verifies. I will add more to this page as the day gets closer. |
